The power of a mention

Amazon.com provides a cute chart by which authors can admire their sales on the World's Largest Store. You can see how mine jog along, day after day, but then -- zoom! The hot seller this week is an odd little e-book called 100 Hawks for China which, among other things, contains a facsimile of the Royal Air Force pilot's manual that accompanied the Curtiss P-40s sold to China to equip the American Volunteer Group, the "Flying Tigers" of 1941-1942. I suspect that it got a favorable mention on some flight simmer's blog, may he live long and prosper.
