Bye bye, Mr Cain!

You brought a breath of fresh air into a dreary nominating process, not least by your proposal to abolish the progressive income tax in favor of something people could grasp: 9-9-9. Good for you. (It would never have passed the Congress, of course, but it did shake up the conventional wisdom.) It was a delight to see a black man sweep the polls in a Republican contest. And you could speak brilliantly, unlike some of your colleagues on the right. We will miss you. (Well, I will miss you, anyhow.) Blue skies! -- Dan Ford
