'give us our money back'

If you ever had any doubt as to who has first call on your salary (and that of your kids and grandkids), the NYT's Quotation of the Day provides a clue:

'"You are disgraced professional losers. And by the way, give us our money back." REPRESENTATIVE EARL POMEROY, Democrat of North Dakota, on the A.I.G. executives who were paid bonuses after a federal bailout.'

It isn't your money, Mr Pomeroy. You only give it away. Blue skies! -- Dan Ford
