troops out! but not by 2013 necessarily ...

As New Hampshire enjoys its quadrennial moment in the sun, the leading Democratic candidates declined to say that they'd have the troops out of Iraq by the end of a first term. Clinton: 'It is very difficult to know what we're going to be inheriting'. Obama: 'I think it's hard to project four years from now'. Edwards: 'I cannot make that commitment'. (That Edwards made the most dignified response probably reflects only that he spoke last and therefore had time to think.) See below for my comment on Iraq as the new Korea.

(Anyone need enlightenment on why New Hampshire's 1,300,000 people are courted by presidential hopefuls? Just ask :)
