Legionaires pay the price

In the early days of the Russo-Ukraine War, the news was full of stories of foreign adventurers and idealists -- including Americans -- going to Ukraine to defend the country against Putin's invasion. Four of them have since paid with their lives, according to the International Legion of Defense of Ukraine. In a Facebook post, they named the four: Ronald Vogelaar from the Netherlands, Michael O’Neill from Australia, Björn Benjamin Clavis from Germany, and Wilfried Blériot from France. “We wish to remember and honor our fallen brothers, who traveled to Ukraine to join the bravest of the brave and fight shoulder to shoulder with the defenders of Ukraine,” the Legion said.

All honor to them, and slava Ukraini! -- Dan Ford
