Time now for Acting President Harris!

I've never believed that Kamala Harris was up to the job of vice-president, never mind president of the United States. But now that Joe Biden has more or less agreed with the rest of us that he's not fit for a second term, I'm even more worried about the country in the nearly six months before our 47th president takes the oath of office. (That's double-counting Grover Cleveland, who was both our 25th and 26th president, just as we might have to double-count Donald Trump as the 45th and 47th.) Whatever her limitations, Ms Harris looks like she can work hard, seven days a week if she must, and in the early morning and evening if it comes to that. Mr Biden cannot. He should step down now. That would not only remove a feeble occupant from the White House, but would let us see how she handles the job in the three months before election day.
