Return of the GWOT

Not only is Mr Obama requesting a fresh (and term-limited) authorization for the use of military force, but the New York Times today spoke the forbidden and almost forgotten T-word:

The Islamic State is expanding beyond its base in Syria and Iraq to establish militant affiliates in Afghanistan, Algeria, Egypt and Libya, raising the prospect of a new global war on terror.

A War on Terror? Oh, say it ain't so!
