Why is this woman smiling?

It has never been a good idea to speak against the Tsar, whether his name be Nikolas Romanov, Joseph Stalin, or Vladimir Putin. It seems that this young woman is a member of an all-girl punk group called, er, um, ah, Pussy Riot, that she and her colleagues decided to take their act to a church altar, and that their performance called for the removal of the incumbent Tsar. So she is being carted off to jail. The prosecutor is calling for a three-year sentence, which in the context of the Russian prison system could mean life, because prisoners in Russia don't seem to live very long.

Perhaps we could arrange a prisoner swap, Pussy Riot in exchange for an equal number from Guantanamo?
