Looking on the bright side

Budget Deficit Tops $1 Trillion, but Is Falling, Report Says

So says the New York Times this afternoon.

Oh, well--if it's falling!

The U.S. debt at the end of last year was 15,330,000,000,000.. At the end of 2007 it was $9,229,000,000,000, an increase of  65 percent in just four years. Another way of looking at this is that Messrs Bush and. Obama have added more to the national debt than all the presidents from George Washington to Bill Clinton, accomplishing in four years what it took what it took forty-two presidents two centuries to achieve. Blue skies! -- Dan Ford
