Trillion-dollar Barack

The line to notice is 2008, when things were considered so bad that many of us voted for "hope and change" in the primaries and the general election. How did that work out for us? Four trillion dollars in deficit spending, with at least another trillion certain for the fiscal year that began on October 1.

Dan, It's sick to see these numbers in a short table like this.

I'm 44; the generation before me is retiring in droves; and I fear my kids and their generation will never bear up under this burden. Add to this bleak math problem: cultural decline, a fear and demonization of money, and God relegated to the corner. Sometimes it's hard to have faith that everything is going to be alright. But, oh well -- "blue skies" back atcha!

I believe the cost of the wars has been left off of the eary dates on the chart--that changes the numbers a bit--
Cutting the Jets that we can't use against people on bicycles--getting the Trillions that have been handed awat in bad deals--there are a lot of places to cut instead of soilders benefits
