A collision, O the horror!

One set of federal bureaucrats is beating up on another set of federal bureaucrats because a private plane and a tour-copter collided over the Hudson River recently. The last time this happened, the East River was closed to VFR ('see and avoid') flights. No doubt this kerfluffle will similarly end with closing the airspace over the Hudson. There's nothing a bureaucrat likes better than closing things. Why don't they close the Manhattan expressways while they're at it, and save hundreds of lives a year? Or better yet close all the roads everywhere? We'd not only save forty thousand lives a year, but reduce our carbon footprint as well. Blue skies! -- Dan Ford
