Agnes Waters is opposed

In its hearings on the European Recovery Program (Marshall Plan), the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee heard 94 witnesses over the course of 24 days. Only a handful opposed the ERP. They included Agnes Waters, a far-right agitator of the 1930s and 1940s, and evidently a presidential candidate in 1948 on the American Woman's Party ticket. Here's how her testimony ended:

THE CHAIRMAN: Your time has expired, Mrs. Waters.

MRS. WATERS: Give me one more minute.

I charge that this plan is treason.... I demand the arrest of every witness and every proponent of this bill. I demand their arrest for treason and attempting to overthrow this Government. I demand their arrest, too, as war criminals, and their trial set upon the precedent they themselves made at Nuremberg.

There can be no defense, for they have testified here as to their crimes.... And, as the only woman candidate for President of the United States, I hope to have the pleasure of signing their death warrants.

THE CHAIRMAN: The committee is in recess until 10 o'clock tomorrow morning.

She doesn''t mince words, does she? She sounds like a female George Galloway.
